Luggage good for a long travel?

I am traveling over the summer for 14 days from the East coast to hawaii, australia, new zeland, and fiji. I have been told the weather in each place will vary, therefore I will need to bring a wide array of clothes. Plus I need to pack 14 days of clothes. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on good luggage, preferable one large piece. It would also be great if it was a different color or pattern (other than plain, black, brown or blue…just so it would stick out)

Can I travel outside the USA with my child without his fathers permission?

My son’s father has not been in my son’s life. He has paid me less than $100 total child support and my son is 3 and a half. I have heard you must have both parents permission for a minor to travel outside the USA. I’m not even for sure where his father lives at this point. Would there be an exception for me? Becuase why should this man decide where the son he abandoned goes?
