boat travel

I am going to the Philippines for vacation and I want to spend time in both Borocay and Puerto Galera. Can anyone help me with the approximate travel time? Any help would be great. Thanks.

  1. if you got a row boat it’s gonna take a long time nephew….

  2. get the ferry from caticlan(next to Boracay) to Roxas on mindoro and travel north on a bus/jeep for about 6 hours. i think the ferry runs every day.

  3. from caticlan to mindoro. It will probably take you 7-8 hours. Take the ferry or roro from caticlan.

  4. I am not sure if you want to take the roro, which is travelling by sea a lot.
This is just another option. Upon arriving in Philippines, you can take a connecting flight to Kalibo, Aklan or to Caticlan airport. Airplanes going to Caticlan airport are smaller. ;-) From Kalibo, Aklan, you can travel about 30 minutes to Caticlan seaport. It take less than an hour to travel by boat to Boracay Island. If you are going to Caticlan airport, it is very near the seaport already.

After Boracay, you can get to Kalibo Airport or Caticlan Airport, going to Manila airport. You will have to travel approximately 3 hours to go to Batangas pier. In batangas pier, there are a lot of ferries to choose from, depending on your destination and budget. You can choose a ferry which will bring you directly to the beach you will be staying in Puerto Galera.

  5. You first ride a small boat from Boracay to Caticlan which is around 10-15 minutes. From the Caticlan port in Aklan to the Roxas port in Mindoro is around 4 hours. From Roxas to Calapan in Mindoro is around 2 hours… all by boat. I think it’s better if you go to Galera first before Boracay though. Save the best (better) for last. Enjoy your trip!:)
